Biography

Lyudmila Cheshmedzhieva is famous Bulgarian opera singer and film actress. She was born on June 12, 1941 in the village of Marino, then a village separate from Dimitrovgrad, Dimitrovgrad. In high school she sang in school's choir, played ballet and gymnastics and studied art speech. She graduated in "singing" in the Music Academy in Sofia in the class of Hristo Brambarov . At that time, Svetozar Donev invited her to participate in Musical Theater in the operetta "The girl I loved." She has participated in many other productions such as "The Queen of Czardas" and "Hello, Dolly." As a student she starred in her first film " We Were Young ". She continues to star in films such as " The Peach Thief " (1964), "Children play outside" (1973), "The Assistant" (2002) and " The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner " (2008). For many years she was soloist in Musical Theater, and in 1991 became its Chief Manager. She is a winner of prestigious awards.
